Choosing the "Right" Digital Advertising Agency
Some ad agencies have a way of marketing their services in such a way as to trick you into buying fans for their pages, to give the illusion of a “social presence”. Being unknowledgeable about such strategies could easily influence you to pick an agency that isn’t appropriate or experienced for the services you need. If you pay close enough attention to these agencies and their strategies, you will notice they only have 300-600 followers with no interaction. An agency with successful digital strategies has well over 1000 Twitter or Facebook followers. Below are characteristics of an agency you want to avoid in your digital agency of record selection.
• Tweets about themselves, and what THEY are doing constantly
• Does not re-tweet others tweets and never involved in conversations on Twitter
• Uses automated following programs to gain their audience and followers
• Has a Facebook page containing posts with no link
• Can’t provide success stories or share any case studies of their work
• Has a very small following on Twitter and very few likes on Facebook
• Social media pages have little to no subscriber activity
• Many of these firms will claim to be social media or digital experts and give seminars for free or at very little cost.
(When is the last time you heard of a real expert giving away free advice?) It is important that the agency you choose understands your business. That is why one of the most important criteria when choosing an advertising agency is ensuring that they know as much about your brand as possible, and that they appear to take an interest in what you do. If they do not then this should be ample enough reason to continue your search for an agency to represent you.
Digital social media and the online world lives, breathes, evolves and constantly changes. Digital advertising agencies have to be able to grow and adapt to a fast paced evolving digital and social media landscape. The whole globe is going digital, and online is the new high street. With a little homework, you can make the right call and will be well on your way of working with an agency that has a confirmed record of success and has the credentials to prove so.

7. How many likes do they have on Facebook?
8. Is there business on Google Maps and do they have ads placed on Google Maps?
9. How is their company using Foursquare?
10. Is there CEO or Creative Director actively using Yelp or Foursquare?
If you answered "No" more than one of these questions, it is definitely time to start looking for a more digitally savvy advertising firm.

Declivity of “Print Era” Clears Throne for Digital Advertising

In December 2009, Outsell (a company that helps publishers and commercial information providers grow their business) conducted a study which examined the spending habits of 1,008 advertisers. Results conclude that online-ad spending will increase 9.6 percent while other forms of marketing and advertising will only increase a mere 1.2 percent. At this point it is not a question of “if” digital advertising will surpass other forms of marketing, but more-so “when”. Digital advertising not only comes in the form of online publications but video, email, and search engine keywords as well (i.e. Google). The Outsell study was conducted a month prior to co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs announcing the Apple Ipad. The release of the device could have only accelerated the demand for digital marketing, as a key element of the device is to integrate online news in such a way that is just as customary and familiar to an individual as opening a newspaper or magazine. Although the statistics state that 32.5% of the $368 billion that marketers will spend this year are going to digital (and 30.3% to print), what does this mean for our withering economy? Yes, we have the statistics that confirm who will reign supreme in the marketing world this year but will the excessive spending by both consumer and company put additional barriers in the way of piecing back together our economy?
Lastly, what will this mean for your business? Will you be focusing more on promoting your business via internet vs. doing so by way of print media?

The Precise Agency Group has announced that they will host “Fantasy Wonderland” an event that will benefit the Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) and will be co-sponsored by several local and national brand names such as Gourme Mist, Couture Confections, and adult beverage sponsors Ty.Ku Liqueur and Landshark Beer. Hosted by Michael Hendrix and Chad Crow, this event will be the second annual benefit held on December 11, 2009 from 8:30-11:30pm at The Precise Agency Group Ft Lauderdale office.
Last years event raised over six hundred G.I. Joe figures and Barbie dolls making waves as one of Fort Lauderdale’s more hip and exciting holiday benefit parties.
“It doesn't matter if you've been good or bad you're invited to come experience a FANTASY WONDERLAND for all types of boys and girls. All we ask is that you bring a NEW & UNWRAPPED G.I. Joe or Barbie toy that will be given to one of the 5,000 kids born with HIV and other chronic medical conditions, that would otherwise not have a holiday present. The Children’s Diagnostic Center was established in 1983 when Broward County had one of the highest HIV infant mortality rates in the country, Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center began with a staff of three in a small room in Broward General Hospital and has since grown to be the largest child healthcare provider in Broward County, treating over 11,000 children with chronic HIV illnesses and disabilities annually. The Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center is not-for-profit nationally recognized Center of Excellence.

Celebrate Independence

On July 4, 1776, America declared independence from Britain. It is now 233 years later and America is a country with an estimated population of 306,798,000 citizens spread across 50 states. We as citizens recognize that we may be separated by location of these states, but together, we create the United States of America. It has developed into a country that is independent from the boundaries maps have drawn and acknowledge that boundaries don’t exist. Instead we recognize that we are a global community.
President Obama’s 2008 campaign was fueled by the vastly developing use of a grassroots approach offered through new media. These new medias allowed the global community to get involved, and gave citizens of other countries a taste of democracy. The realization, that the media conglomerates (traditional media) no longer control what we as a global society hear and think, is causing many to wonder what does it all mean? What does it mean to my clients, and their ability to increase their bottom line with the freedom that comes
with new media?
With over 2,700,000,000 cell phones in use around the world, the ability to send and receive target advertising and messaging for the first time causes one to ponder the endless possibilities that lie ahead… while traditional ad agency’s fall apart. Dreaming the impossible and creating with freedom, is the reality of our current age. With no boarders and no restraints we at The Precise Agency Group are reminded that we are far from a local company; we are a GLOBAL company.

The Precise Agency Group Announces.....

As I sit here late working on our first agency group blog I feel alive with passion burning deep within me. The excitement that comes with living your passion through serving those around you stirs up an appetite for life like no other. The reality that comes from realizing there are no limits to what you can create by being true to yourself and those you care about is powerful. Today, my team and I embrace the future with open arms understanding that the world is our creative playground! We set out on a journey with nothing and no one to hold us back from being true to ourselves and our clients needs.
With our first official blog “Naked Truth-the place where we bare it all’ we have exciting news to report. We want you to celebrate with us as we strive from the start to keep you in the know. After a one-year partnership, The Precise Agency and SRJ Marketing & Communications have separated. For me, Michael Hendrix, CEO of The Precise Agency Group, it is all about closing one chapter and opening a new chapter that will benefit our clients.
As The Precise Agency drops the "SRJ" in our name we have formed "The Precise Agency Group" based on the reality that emergent technologies and media are evolving daily and it’s time to cut ties with the past and fully embrace the future. Since SRJ celebrates 30 years of traditional advertising and media we congratulate them and wish them the best, meanwhile The Precise Agency team celebrates 3 years of phenomenal success in new media or as we like to call it "now media".
